What is laser engraving?

Laser engraving uses a concentrated beam of light to selectively remove material from the surface of an object.

What kind of material can you engrave?

We can engrave just about anything. Some surfaces will require a coating to be applied first to enable the laser to mark the surface.

Is there anything you can't engrave?

Currently I cannot engrave fine metals, such as gold and silver.

What sizes can you engrave?

I can engrave pieces 18" wide by 30" long with my current bench laser.

I have a smaller portable laser that can engrave 4" wide and is on a trolly to engrave almost any length.

How does on-site engraving work?

On site engraving means that you bring the product you wish to have engraved and I will engrave it for you.

What file type should designs be?

I can work with almost any file type. I can work with images provided in png, jpeg, svg files or even images from an adobe PDF.

What if I'm not sure what I want my design to look like?

If you have an idea of what you might like. I can create a design and send it to you for approval.

What if I have a large number of items to engrave, like for a wedding?

If you have a large number of items with the same design. Let me know how many you are looking for and I can provide a quote for you

How long before I get my order?

If it is an in stock item I will try to have it shipped in 2 days. Wood items for custom orders will take longer to allow items to dry properly.

Where are you located?

We are currently located in Kenora, Ontario, Next to the beautiful Lake of the Woods.

Can I have my order shipped to me?

There is an option for shipping and I do put product weights and dimensions on the site so when you check out from the store shipping rates will be calculated.
